M.S.L. ARCHIART is an architect-led studio in Pegeia, on the western coast of Cyprus, building bespoke private residences – design, engineering and construction under one roof.
M.S.L. came to us with a practice and no brand – no mark, no voice, no way of showing the work. On a coast that builds fast and builds alike, a studio working the other way had no means of saying so.
We began in Paphos: time with the founder on where the practice was going, then the district itself – how prime property is built there, the materials, the way stone and plaster take the light. An audit of local firms showed what nobody was saying. Everything that followed came from that ground.
No Two Stones Alike
The idea came from the stone the region builds in. Irregular limestone set against warm plaster, no two pieces alike, each cut to fit the ones around it.
The mark is four stone forms in a deliberately imperfect arrangement, and the pattern grows out of it – the same stones varied into a continuous wall. The palette takes its grounds from the same pairing: Plaster White and Stone Greige, with terracotta and olive from the landscape around them.
Consistency across all touchpoints
The brand was set down in a guidelines document so it could be applied without us. Every decision written down with the reasoning behind it, so a studio with no designer of its own can keep things consistent as it grows.
One logic runs through the mark, the pattern, the palette and the layouts, which keeps applications related without making them identical.

The site had to explain a service the market has no shorthand for. M.S.L. designs and builds, taking a client from the choice of land through to handover.
We built it in English and Polish, and produced architectural visualisations from the studio’s drawings for the houses still in build.
